4/7/19- Health This Week during testing! We will have 2 lessons this week in Health. We will be starting our new unit on Healthy Relationships. Be ready for testing, eat a good breakfast and get good sleep this week!
4/5/19- Unit #3 Test Reflection 3/30/19- What is your Natural High? Make goals, have traditions and work hard at what will lead you down the right path. We have learned in this unit that the path of drugs leads to despair, addiction and loneliness. "Don't do drugs" is just not a catchy phrase, it is a way of life...a healthy way of life! The Drug Prevention Unit Test will be Wednesday and Thursday this week. Be prepared, be confident and get excited for an opportunity to reach your fullest potential! 3/23/19- Happy March Madness! I love this month! This week we will be finishing up our unit on Drug Prevention. We will be studying prescription drugs, the 5 categories of drugs and finalizing our learning progression. These next 2 weeks will be very important to get the 4th quarter off and started in the perfect way! Let me know if I can help in any way! Use Access Time wisely this week! This is our time to finish strong in our final quarter in Middle School! Let's do it! 3/10/19- Back to Health this week! We will be having a guest speaker, Karin Schamberger from Highlands Ranch. She will be speaking on the struggles and challenges of living with an addict. This is a very impactful presentation. Please be ready to come with open eyes, open hearts and questions to seek understanding of this disease. This is the last week of the quarter as well. 2/1/19- Unit #2 Reflection 1/27/19- Back to health this week! Review day, Monday and Tuesday, then Violence prevention Test on Wednesday and Thursday. Big week! Also, we will be doing our mid year testing! Yesss! Boys basketball starts in less than a week! Sign up, have all paperwork filled out and make sure you have your physical on file with Mrs. Russell. 12/2/18- What an awesome time in PE playing soccer! Each class played really real and the action was fierce, exciting and fun to watch! THIS WEEK...Health! We will be taking a look at the students rights, violence in the media and bullying issues. Remember to write your combination for your locker down in a safe place. We do not have PE until January 7th! We have Health for the next 2 weeks, then we have our ID unit, as a pod, in three weeks 12/17-12/21. Here is your chance to finish strong! Have a great one! 11/16/18- ALL EVEN CORES...ATTENTION PLEASE! If you would like to improve your soccer skills test score, the ONLY days you can come in for a redo is Monday(11/26) or Tuesday(11/27) during Access Time! Mark it, remember it and know it! 11/12/18- PE this week! Second week of soccer and also looking at Leadership 101! How many people do you influence in your lifetime? About 10,000!!! 10/20/18- SOS (Signs of Suicide) lesson on Monday and Tuesday. Please talk to your parents about this lesson. A good talking point is ACT...Acknowledge, Care and Tell. 8/26/18- PE this Monday and Tuesday!!! Health starts on Wednesday. You will need a 3-Ring binder and paper in that binder; along with pencils, pens, colored pens...etc. Those binders will be kept in the classroom at all times. The binders should be 1 1/2 or 2 inch, so we can store them in drawers in the classroom. Thank you! Quote: "Decide. Commit. Succeed."
8/11/18- PE Students: please bring your PE clothes for Monday and Tuesday classes. If you bought a new uniform, please bring your receipt to receive your clothes.
