5/5- Health/PE Final Exam will be on Thursday, May 17th for Odd Classes and Friday, May 18th for Even Classes. You will have at least 2 days this week to prepare and study for those finals! 4/18- PE this week and for the next 3 weeks! We will be playing different Rec Games like Ultimate Frisbee, Fast ball, Capture the Flag, Medic...etc. But, we will concentrate on how to play the games. Spacing, movement and short quick passes are some good strategies to implement in your team concept to be successful. 4/6- This week we started our Healthy Relationships Unit. This unit requires maturity, listening skills, non judgmentalness, non criticalness and focus! We will be talking about Love and how we can display it to others and whats appropriate. It is our privilege to serve others. So lets do it well and often! 3/4- The "Lid" is the level of your effectiveness as a leader. In order to pop that lid off, we need to have Self Discipline. We need to lead ourself effectively first, then we can lead others. 2/25- "Empower"...yourself and others, "Master" 4 things: R.E.A.L...Relationships, Equipping, Attitude and Leadership. 2/19- "Leadership 101"- We will be learning the 3 parts of leadership: #1. Development of a Leader #2. Traits of a Leader #3. Impact of a Leader. This week will be talking about why leadership 101? In order to be successful, we need to master 4 areas: Relationships, Equipping, Attitude and Leadership.
2/19- To say; "Don't do drugs!", is just not enough to not try drugs or stay off of drugs. We, as proactive leaders, need to have a plan/strategy to not try drugs or stay off of drugs. We will be planning strategies and goals to keep us healthy and off of drugs...forever! In PE this week, we will be learning together leadership qualities to help us in this process of drug free. 2/4- How about those Heroin in Denver pics? Wow! This week will be studying the 5 categories of drugs, Inhalants with Allison and Prescription Drugs with Sandra. I call this "The Tale of 2 Addicts". We will also have Officer Carnes come and and talk about Marijuana. Make sure you are staying up with your work and as always...do your best at all times! 1/28- Who are Angel, Alice, Amanda, Iris, Allison and Sandra? During this next unit, you will know the story of each of these people. In some cases, the stories are hopeful. In some of the stories, they are very sad and hopeless. We will be learning how "stories" help us learn about details to this unit. 1/26- Last day of Badminton! This unit we learned 6 different kinds of hits, rules of the game, rotations & team play! It seems we can always go back to chemistry of the team, to see how well the team will play. It is so important to work together, communicate together and work hard for a common goal! 1/18- Badminton has been going very well. With 7 different kinds of hits that we talked about, we are learning to control our bodies, have coordination with our racquets and have footwork that is smooth. Keep up the great work guys! 12/3- The last 3 weeks of PE...Incredible, awesome, amazing & FANTASTIC! Our soccer unit was filled with learning, student lead drills, great competition, hustle and more drills, frills and thrills that you can imagine! Thank you to each student for having great attitudes, outstanding efforts and hustle at all times! What a great experience! This week...we get back into violence prevention. We will talk about influences in our lives, that may contribute to violence and SOS (Signs of Suicides). I have notes and a parent letter under my "Class Worksheets", if you would like to view them.
