After finishing our unit on Drug Prevention, we will be getting into Healthy Relationships. We will be looking at the differences between boys and girls; Love Languages and Steps of Intimacy. We will be making some "norms" as a class to respect each others thoughts, questions and opinions. This unit is very enlightening and important for good healthy relationships. 3/6/17- This week...PE on Monday and Health on Tuesday. We will be taking a look at Inhalants and Prescription Drugs in Health, through the stories of Allison and Sandra. Our Drug Final will be March 14th (even cores) and 15th (odd cores). Be prepared and ready to perform to your fullest potential. Quote: "Proper preparation prevents poor performance." 2/25/17- The Hockey tournament started off with a "bang"! We will finish the tournament this week on Monday and Tuesday. This is the last week of PE, so do what you can to get those points for your teams! Have a fantastic week! 2/13/17- Cross Fit Test make up during Tuesday Access this week only! Please dress out and come on down to the gym for your make up. Thank you. 2/11/17- Our drug unit doesn't bring many niceties or warm fuzzy little feelings, but it does bring awareness of the life an addict and how they live. We have an obligation to be drug free and concentrate on our Natural High, the things we really love about life! So, go out there and be a great citizen and make someone smile! PE THIS WEEK! 2/5/17- This week we will be taking a look at heroin in Denver and addiction. These topics are very deep, disturbing and a wake up call to what drugs can do to our lives. Parents let me know if you have any questions. We will also take a look at how red ribbon week originated. This a great sad, but great story of a modern day hero. Continue to work hard, be respectful to others and always make your attitude pleasant. Have a fantastic week! 12/13/16- What an awesome time of year! I love this time of year! Although, it can also be very overwhelming. Please take time to reflect, revive and rejuvenate to your life. Taking time to do these things will allow you to see what is important and to focus on those things. What are your priorities? Focus on these things. Have a fantatic time off and see you next year! 11/14/16- What is the healthiest thing to do? Well, it could be eat right; it could be exercise; it could be study in school; it could be get sleep; it could be fostering good friends; it could be building relationships...there are a ton of things. So many great things can make us healthy. Remember to keep the unity and don't allow division to break us.
